Auricular Acupuncture
Auricular Acupuncture is accomplished by inserting small needles into the fleshy part of the ear or by placing ‘ear seeds’ (either tiny magnets or very small mustard seeds) on specific ‘points’ on the outer ear. An electrical signal is sent to the brain, which in turn stimulates the part of the body the point corresponds to that point. These points correlate with internal organs, channels, collaterals, tissue, limbs and even bones. The inner ear is never needled and when using ear seeds, the auricular points can be stimulated for much longer than needles, well after your session is over with. The adhesive tape used to keep the ear seeds in place, is also flesh colored, making them hardly noticeable. Seeds can be worn for up to five days.
